Bilpin Fruit Bowl

Road trips aren’t just about endless scenery and games of I spy. Make your day unforgettable and stop in at Bilpin Fruit Bowl to pick your own strawberries, fruit and vegetables with the kids. If you don’t feel like getting your hands dirty, check out the food, souvenirs and crafts at the café.

The Fruit Bowl is a 55-acre pick-your-own farm and café. The Tadrosse family have been at the helm since 1985, and their four children help run the business.

You’ll find local honey, home-made jams, souvenirs, pottery and summer fruits in the shop. If you feel like settling in for a while, there’s plenty of off-road parking, undercover seating, an accessible toilet, picnic areas and a playground for the kids.

Peaches and nectarines are in season from November to the end of January and apples are ripe for the picking in the last week of January. Strawberries and vegetables are in abundance during the harvest season, from mid-November until April’s end.

The café is open every day except Christmas Day from 8am-5.30pm. Depending on the weather, the farm is open weekends and public holidays during the harvest season from 10am-4pm.

If you’re looking for unique, fun things to do in the Blue Mountains, the Fruit Bowl in Bilpin is the pick of the crop!
